And the "school grades" are due out soon. And your property taxes will be cut. And the factory-style schooling continues.
And more kids are lost in the shuffle.
"Educators are trying to create a form to fit every child, and you just can't do that," said Stephen Rushton, a professor and researcher at the University of South Florida. "We have lost the whole child in this testing craze."

I have a son who did not pass the FCAT but, stuck it out and earned the credits to graduate. He got the certificate of complition. I just called Lake Technical Center to enroll him in welding. Where I learned that a GED is now thought to be a real diploma as if you actually went 12 years of school. I was told he would have to get a GED to get into a technical school. How can this happen? This FCAT has to be stopped. Thousands of children ARE being left behind. You can't standardize people. A million bikers went to DC to stop the law of wearing helmets. What's stopping a million Florida parents from showing up on the doors of Tallahassee? I'll will go!!! Has anyone seen this? Go to http://fcat.fldoe.org/fcatscor.asp
and find out how great the FCAT is doing?
